5. Bank Account Authentication and ACH Payments

When you choose to pay by direct bank transfer (ACH), we may use third-party service providers to securely verify your bank account and facilitate payment processing. We use Plaid Inc. (“Plaid”) to authenticate bank accounts and confirm account ownership. When you connect your bank account through Plaid Link, you provide your banking credentials directly to Plaid. Medium Plus LLC does not receive or store your online banking username or password. Through Plaid, we may receive limited account information necessary to verify account ownership, confirm account and routing details, facilitate authorized ACH payments, and reduce the risk of payment fraud. We do not use this information for lending, credit evaluation, financial profiling, or data resale. Bank account information is used solely for payment processing purposes and is retained only as long as necessary to complete authorized transactions and comply with legal and accounting obligations.

5. Data Security

We implement various security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. All sensitive data is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and processed and stored by our secure third-party payment processors.

9. Medium Plus Software Tools and Browser Extensions

Medium Plus LLC develops and operates a suite of browser-based tools and extensions to support business operations and, in some cases, to provide utility to the general public. This section describes how data accessed through these tools is collected, used, and protected. Medium Plus tools fall into two categories. Internal tools are restricted exclusively to authorized Medium Plus staff and are not accessible to customers or the general public. Public tools are made available through browser extension marketplaces and may be installed and used by anyone. Regardless of category, all Medium Plus tools are purpose-built for specific, limited functions, and data accessed through them is handled in accordance with this policy.

Depending on the tool, users may interact with one or more of the following categories of data. Certain tools connect to Google Workspace services — including Google Sheets and Google Calendar — via Google OAuth 2.0, allowing users to read, write, or create data on behalf of the signed-in account. Other tools access third-party platform content such as product catalogs, inventory data, or other business information from platforms used in the normal course of operations. Some internal tools interact with locally connected hardware devices, such as barcode scanners or RFID readers, to read physical inventory identifiers directly from equipment on premises.

In all cases, data accessed through Medium Plus tools is used solely to perform the specific function requested by the user at the time of use. Medium Plus does not use data accessed through these tools for marketing, profiling, or any purpose beyond the immediate intended function. Data is not transmitted to Medium Plus servers beyond what is strictly necessary to complete the requested operation, and is never sold, shared, or disclosed to third parties. Where Google OAuth 2.0 authentication is used, Medium Plus does not receive or store Google account passwords under any circumstances. Authentication tokens are stored locally within the user’s browser environment and expire automatically in accordance with Google’s token policies. Any data accessed through Google APIs remains subject to Google’s own privacy policies in addition to this policy.
