In 2005, Denis and Bertrand Chevillon continued refining block level management here, emphasizing low yields, vigilant canopy control, and soil work adapted to Roncières’s heterogeneous profile. The vineyard’s moderate slope and good drainage required close monitoring of vine balance through a warm summer. Harvest timing was determined through repeated sampling across the cru’s varied contours. Fermentation took place in small vats with extraction calibrated to the vintage’s natural concentration, followed by élevage in French oak selected to support clarity rather than impose weight.
