Fine sands and fossil rich marine deposits define the south to southeast facing slope behind the 2015 Malvirà Roero Arneis Trinità, produced by the Canale based estate where the Damonte brothers have pursued detailed vineyard mapping across the Roero hills. Pockets of calcareous material contribute to a soil profile that drains quickly and keeps vigor moderate, while elevation and exposure extend the ripening window under breezes funneled through the Tanaro River corridor. Farming follows sustainable guidelines with extensive hand work in the canopy, a key point for Arneis in a site shaped by sun and wind. Harvest is carried out in stages, and fruit is whole cluster pressed before fermentation in stainless steel at controlled temperatures. Lees aging continues until the components stabilize. Within the Roero program, Trinità holds a central role as a consistent documentation of the hillside’s geology and microclimate through restrained, technically focused cellar choices.
