Description
Situated on gentle slopes of Kimmeridgian limestone layered with clay, the 2018 Champagne Christophe Baron Les Hautes Blanches Vignes forms part of a single parcel program grounded in detailed terroir study. Organic farming guides vineyard work, with manual soil management and precise canopy adjustments adapted to shallow, erosion sensitive topsoils and shifting exposures. Grapes are harvested by hand and pressed in a traditional vertical press, with parcels kept separate for fermentation in neutral barrels and small tanks. Prolonged lees aging supports structural development before tirage and extended bottle maturation. As part of Christophe Baron’s focused Champagne collection, Les Hautes Blanches Vignes reflects an intent to translate micro parcel differences through attentive viticulture and patient, low intervention cellar practice.
