Description
A single Chardonnay parcel in Ambonnay underpins 2018 Marguet Champagne Brut Nature Blanc de Blancs Les Bermonts, rooted in chalk rich soils with a thin topsoil layer that promotes rapid drainage and steady water regulation. Positioned mid slope with favorable exposure and regular airflow, Les Bermonts benefits from an extended ripening window within this Grand Cru village. The vineyard is worked under certified biodynamic practice, with all tasks carried out by hand and guided by soil health and lunar cycles. Grapes are harvested selectively and pressed as whole clusters, then fermented spontaneously in neutral barrels so the parcel can evolve on its own terms. Secondary fermentation takes place in bottle, followed by extended lees aging and disgorgement without dosage. Within the Marguet range, Les Bermonts holds a focused role as a single site expression shaped by biodynamic viticulture and a traditional method framework oriented toward precision and continuity rather than intervention.
