Aloxe-Corton slopes at the base of the hill supply the 2020 Domaine Tollot-Beaut Aloxe-Corton Rouge, produced by a Chorey-lès-Beaune family domaine with generations of experience across the northern Côte de Beaune. These parcels of limestone and marl are well drained and exposed to persistent airflow and consistent sunlight, setting a clear framework for ripening and vine balance. Vineyard work follows sustainable principles, built around manual pruning, controlled yields, and careful parcel separation. Fruit is harvested by hand and fermented in temperature controlled tanks, with extraction kept moderate to align with the commune’s naturally structured profile. Maturation continues in a mix of new and neutral barrels selected to complement the site’s geology driven character rather than impose a stronger signature. Within the domaine’s range, this cuvée supports the effort to present clear village expressions grounded in long familiarity with the vineyards and in cellar choices guided by continuity rather than intervention.
