Younger vines and selected mid slope plots on calcareous marl and sand supply the 2021 Cordero di Montezemolo Langhe Nebbiolo, produced from the family’s holdings based at the Monfalletto property in La Morra. These well draining soils moderate vigor and support a steady ripening curve within a continental climate, while exposures vary across the contributing parcels. Farming follows sustainable, hand driven practice, with canopy adjustments used to manage Nebbiolo’s long maturation cycle and harvesting carried out block by block. Fermentation proceeds in stainless steel, with maceration adapted to the structural intent of a regional cuvée rather than a single site selection. Maturation follows in large wooden vats and neutral barrels to stabilize and integrate components without imposing a uniform imprint. In the broader Nebbiolo program, this bottling functions as a cohesive synthesis of several Langhe sites shaped by consistent viticulture and a restrained, traditional cellar approach.
