Description
At the foot of the Rozier hillside in Saint-Laurent-des-Combes, Château Rozier Saint-Émilion Grand Cru 2023 is a Bordeaux red from France produced in the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation from 80 percent Merlot, 18 percent Cabernet Franc, and 2 percent Cabernet Sauvignon. The estate name is linked to Abbé Rozier, who wrote an early viticultural manual in 1760, and Vignobles Saby, led by the Jean-Bernard Saby family line, has worked the property for nine generations while managing holdings across Libournais appellations. Château Rozier covers about 28 hectares of vines averaging 40 years, rooted in clay-limestone soils; official producer and appellation listings do not publish specific parcel altitude or exposure. Harvest is manual. Vinification takes place in concrete and stainless-steel tanks, followed by maturation in French oak for around 12 months, with 30 percent new barrels and 70 percent one-wine or older barrels. The cuvée frames Saby’s work through Right Bank blending, family continuity, and Saint-Émilion Grand Cru site management.
