Description
Foothill vineyards at the base of the Bauges massif supply the fruit for the NV André et Michel Quenard Crémant de Savoie Brut Nature, rooted in limestone scree and glacial sediments that define much of the estate’s holdings. Over generations, the family has mapped these soils and adapted pruning and hand cultivation to steep, cool sites. Chardonnay and Jacquère parcels selected for sparkling production are tracked closely to preserve acidity in the region’s variable alpine climate. Grapes are pressed as whole clusters, and base wines ferment at low temperatures in stainless steel to maintain structural clarity. Secondary fermentation occurs in bottle, followed by lees aging adjusted each year to suit the assembled blend. This cuvée aligns Savoie’s alpine geology and long standing sparkling tradition with a restrained cellar approach focused on precision and site definition.
