Description
Calcareous clay soils and foothill exposures shaped by the Gran Sasso massif set the context for the NV Antica Tenuta Pietramore Colli Aprutini IGT Vino Frizzante Trebbiano, sourced from organically and biodynamically farmed vineyards in the Colli Aprutini zone. The estate’s work is built around soil regeneration, hand cultivation, and canopy management adapted to the Adriatic’s cooling influence. Trebbiano intended for this frizzante style is harvested earlier to preserve structural freshness, with parcels tracked through the season for acidity and phenolic maturity. Grapes are pressed gently and the base wine ferments with native yeasts in stainless steel. Secondary fermentation typically follows a controlled method designed to retain delicate natural effervescence, with lees contact adjusted to integrate the components. This cuvée aligns with Pietramore’s broader exploration of how Abruzzo hillside geology and biodynamic practice can support lightly sparkling expressions grounded in precise, low intervention viticulture.
