Description
Dedicated to examining Pinot Noir through the lens of place and base year, Bollinger Champagne Brut PN TX17 centers on fruit sourced primarily from Tauxières on the Montagne de Reims. Here, chalk and clay marl alternate across gently sloping vineyards shaped by steady ventilation, conditions that influence ripening and vine balance. Grower partners manage yields carefully, with attentive canopy work and soil practices suited to the area’s variable climate. Base wines ferment in part in older oak barrels, a long established Bollinger practice that supports detailed lot assessment. Following tirage, extended lees aging builds structural depth. Within the PN series, TX17 functions as a focused study of the Tauxières commune and as a technical reference for understanding how individual crus contribute to Bollinger’s broader mapping of Pinot Noir expression across the Montagne de Reims.
