Description
Premier Cru slopes of chalk and clay in Chigny-lès-Roses provide the framework for NV J. Lassalle Champagne Brut Rosé Premier Cru, produced by a family run estate with three generations of work on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Meunier. Viticulture emphasizes careful pruning, sustainable practice, and hand harvesting across parcels that differ subtly in exposure, preserving flexibility for blending decisions. Base wines ferment in stainless steel, with reserve components held in tank to maintain continuity from bottling to bottling. Color is established through the addition of a measured portion of still red wine sourced from Pinot Noir parcels farmed specifically for that role. After tirage, extended lees aging in the estate’s cool cellars supports gradual integration. Within the Lassalle portfolio, this cuvée highlights traditional, family guided blending and the structural clarity that comes from chalk influenced hillside vineyards.
