Description
Parcels across the Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne, and Côte des Blancs provide the foundation for NV Krug Champagne Brut Rosé 27ème Édition, supplemented by reserve wines spanning multiple vintages from the house’s extensive library. Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Meunier are sourced from chalk based sites with varied exposures that influence ripening across this cool climate landscape. Vineyard work follows sustainable practices coordinated with long term growers, emphasizing site specific canopy management and careful harvest timing. Base wines ferment in small oak casks, a defining element of Krug’s approach that allows each lot to develop independently prior to blending. A portion of Pinot Noir is vinified as still red wine to contribute structure and color. Secondary fermentation and extended lees aging take place in the house’s historic cellars. The 27ème Édition reflects Krug’s philosophy of recording vineyard diversity and seasonal variation through meticulous selection and patient traditional method maturation.
