Description
Built around the 2020 harvest, NV Louis Roederer Champagne Brut Collection 245 is a multi-vintage Champagne from France composed of 41 percent Chardonnay, 35 percent Pinot Noir, and 24 percent Meunier, with that base year forming 55 percent of the blend. Founded in 1776 and still family controlled, Louis Roederer is led by Frédéric Rouzaud, with Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon central to vineyard and cellar direction. Fruit comes in equal parts from the house’s La Rivière, La Montagne, and La Côte estates, complemented by partner growers from selected Champagne villages. These sources span the Marne Valley, Montagne de Reims, and Côte des Blancs, where chalk, limestone, clay, and marl formations support the regional hierarchy. Collection 245 includes 35 percent Perpetual Reserve from 2012 to 2019 and 10 percent oak-aged reserve wines, with 22 percent malolactic fermentation and 7 grams per liter dosage. The cuvée positions Roederer’s non-vintage Champagne through annual blending, reserve management, and estate-led viticulture.
