Description
Family farmed premier cru parcels around Mareuil-sur-Aÿ shape NV Marc Hébrart Champagne Brut Premier Cru Sélection in magnum, assembled from sites where chalk, clay, and sandy limestone support balanced ripening for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Vineyard work is parcel specific, built around canopy alignment, moderated yields, and soil preservation to maintain consistency across exposures. Fruit is harvested by hand and pressed by lot, with base wines fermented on native yeasts in stainless steel and neutral barrels to clarify each parcel’s structural role in the blend. Reserve wines spanning multiple years contribute additional depth before tirage. Extended lees aging follows, leading to disgorgement with a measured dosage. Within the Hébrart range, Sélection in magnum functions as a key reference for long term aging behavior and informs decisions on reserve management, parcel mapping, and evolving practice in premier cru vineyards.
