Description
Cooler vineyard sites across Alsace form the basis for the Marcel Hugg approach to traditional method sparkling wine, drawing on long established relationships with growers working a patchwork of granite, limestone, and sandstone slopes. For the NV Crémant d’Alsace Brut Rosé, Pinot Noir is selected from parcels that retain acidity and allow for a narrow, carefully judged harvest window. Viticulture follows sustainable principles, with attentive pruning, canopy regulation, and moderated yields used to maintain balance across varied geological conditions. The fruit is pressed gently to extract a restrained rosé color, and base wines ferment in stainless steel to preserve precision. Following tirage, secondary fermentation occurs in bottle, with extended lees aging supporting gradual integration. Within the Marcel Hugg range, this cuvée reflects a continuity of method grounded in slow maturation and a consistent interpretation of Alsatian sparkling wine traditions.
