Description
Brut Impérial reflects the long established blending model developed by Moët & Chandon since the eighteenth century, built on extensive grower relationships across the Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne, and Côte des Blancs. The cuvée incorporates fruit from a wide range of chalk based vineyards whose differences in slope, exposure, and mesoclimate allow the cellar team to construct balance through geographic diversity rather than reliance on a single origin. Vineyard partners work under coordinated guidelines that emphasize controlled yields, staggered harvest dates, and careful fruit selection to manage ripeness across many communes. In the cellar, base wines ferment in stainless steel and are kept separate by variety and village, allowing precise evaluation prior to blending. Reserve wines from multiple years are introduced to stabilize the non vintage profile. Secondary fermentation and subsequent aging in bottle support integration and textural continuity. Bottled here in half format, Brut Impérial maintains the same technical framework as the standard release while offering an alternate presentation of the house’s reference cuvée.
