Description
Built around Chardonnay sourced primarily from grand cru villages of the Côte des Blancs, the NV Pierre Péters Champagne Brut Blanc de Blancs Cuvée de Réserve magnum reflects deep chalk subsoils that regulate water availability and naturally limit vine vigor. Vineyard practices prioritize balanced canopies, moderated yields, and long term soil conservation to preserve the structural definition associated with Mesnil centered fruit. Grapes are harvested by hand and pressed by parcel, with base wines fermenting in stainless steel using native yeasts, while a solera like reserve wine system provides continuity across vintages. Following tirage, the wine remains on the lees for an extended period before disgorgement with minimal dosage. Within the Péters estate, this magnum bottling supports ongoing assessment of chalk driven expression and informs decisions around reserve wine management, harvest timing, and extended maturation cycles.
