Deep, gravelly alluvial fans spilling from St. Helena’s eastern hills underpin the 2006 Titus Vineyards Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve, reflecting the Titus family’s long stewardship of their estate and the soils’ suitability for Cabernet. The Reserve is assembled from the most concentrated parcels, managed with careful canopy shaping, controlled yields, and soil practices aimed at maintaining water balance in a warm vintage. Fruit was harvested by hand and fermented in small lots, allowing each block to be assessed independently before a tailored aging period in French oak. As a flagship cuvée, the 2006 Reserve contributes to ongoing evaluation of vine age, clonal variation, and block delineation, informing decisions around estate redevelopment and future planting.
